Head Coach Plínio Cruz
Named ESPN Coach of the Year at the 2025 World MMA Awards, Plínio Cruz is the founder and head coach of Cruz MMA. A third degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo, multiple-time BJJ World Champion, CFFC Heavyweight Champion and Bellator and M1 Global MMA veteran.
Cruz is the head coach for UFC 2 Division Champion Alex “Poatan” Pereira and a roster of world class pro fighters.
Coach Plínio and his team will guide, support and elevate you from your very first time stepping on the mat.
